The University Towne Centre Mall is the closest mall to the UCSD campus. It has much of what you've probably come to love and/or hate about malls. Overall it's a fairly nice mall to just walk around in; outdoors with a dolphin theme. The name "UTC" can apply to both the UTC area and this mall. In terms of anchors, it has Macy's, Nordstrom's, Robinsons-May, and Sears. The foodcourt here is kinda nice and it actually has a skating rink where you can play IceHockey!
