The APE Lab
The APE lab features a mix of Sun SparcStation 1's, 4's, and 5's and intel-based Linux boxes. Machines are named after famous and honorary apes (i.e. kingkong). It's located in ## 1. and those with access should have cards that open the door. There is also a sparc 10, a PowerMac 7100, and a PC clone with a scanner and a CD-ROM attached to it. (Files left on the hard disk of the Mac may vanish). There are also three laser printers situated in this room. (See Printing). Try to keep the lab looking nice and pretty; it's a shared resource.
Just down the hall is an interaction area featuring a couch, the old foosball table, a ping pong table and (in the future) possibly a tiled display and ChezBob annex.
